It is fundamental when working at height to know the difference:

Work Restraint- a technique whereby a person is prevented - by means of personal fall protection equipment - from reaching zones where the risk of a fall from a height exists.

Fall Arrest- Fall arrest is the form of fall protection which involves the safe stopping of a person already falling

All man safe systems conform to EN795:2012 and installed to BS7883; 2005.
